Now, if you’ll excuse me …
I think I’ll put on a short, stunning dress and go out for awhile.
Tonight I feel like being on the arm of a dashingly handsome Australian.
I’m about to have my first New Year’s Eve Down Under.
Lots of sushi, LOTS of sake,
fireworks overlooking the Sydney Opera House and Harbor Bridge.
And then, at midnight: shameless kissing, and endless smiling,
and happily letting go (with gratitude) of the hardest year I’ve had to face yet;
one that challenged me to rise into myself.
And I did.
I’m exactly where I’m meant to be:
In an dazzling new place,
with a man that I love,
welcoming in a new year filled with joy and possibility.
After so many years of feeling downright defeated, I finally feel triumphant.
So, if you please, I’m off for the date of a lifetime.
It’s time for that dress …
and that man …
and that midnight …
and that kiss!!
Happy New Year, Everyone!!
Looks like I’ll be among the first to dance with 2014.
I promise to put some love and magic on it as I embrace it tonight and then pass it on your way.
